Plateau gets a new look

Thursday 24 November

Canary Wharf restaurant Plateau has unveiled a new look courtesy of an art partnership and redesign of the Bar & Grill. Head chef Allan Pickett has come up with a new range of sharing plates and former Conran Shop creative director Polly Dickens has updated the décor.

Artwork by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is now on display as part of a new tie-up with local gallery, Artisan Fine Art. Entitled The Drawn Blank Series, each limited-edition graphic has been signed by Dylan and is available for customers to buy. Every three months the artwork will change, with upcoming and established artists to be showcased.

Polly has updated the Bar & Grill with a new colour palette of purples, reds and violets and has introduced bespoke versions of the Quaderna table from Italian furniture designer Zanotta [as featured in the image above and Allan's cervelle de canut recipe].

A new sharing menu of dishes is now available in the evening, and includes dishes such as Prosciutto San Daniele, Colchester rock oysters with mignonette & rye bread, and mini pulled pork & beef burgers with chilli relish [see main picture]. A Menu Rapide has also been introduced at lunchtime, with new light options, such as croque monsieur with chanterelles and French fries.
