Great Eastern Hotel
D&D London (formerly Conran Restaurants) in a 50/50 partnership with Wyndham International redeveloped the 267 room Great Eastern Hotel in the heart of the City of London. The Great Eastern was opened in the year 2000 and became one of London's most successful hotels. The redevelopment involved the refurbishment of a striking 19th century Grade 2 listed building into a contemporary Conran designed hotel with 4 restaurants, 3 bars and extensive private dining and event facilities. The hotel was sold in March 2006 to Hyatt Hotels for £150 million. Since the sale D&D London and Conran have been actively reviewing new hotel development opportunities.
