The Modern Pantry

D&D London announced 12 December 2007 that it is backing Anna Hansen, co-founder of The Providores in Marylebone, in her new 4,000 sq. ft. restaurant venture in St John’s Square, Clerkenwell. The Modern Pantry will comprise a restaurant, bar, café and shop and will cater for events and private parties.

The project is due to launch Summer 2008.

Individual Restaurant Company plc

Individual Restaurant Company (IRC) is an AIM listed company which owns and operates 25 restaurants in London and other UK cities. The restaurants trade as 4 distinct brands – Piccolinos, Restaurant Bar and Grill, Bank and Zinc Bar and Grill. The Zincs were sold by D&D London to IRC (previously named Bank Restaurant Group plc) in December 2005 and D&D London remains a significant shareholder in the business.

Centerplan

Custom House in Copenhagen opened in November 2006 and is the result of a joint venture with leading Danish property company, Centerplan. It is the group's first restaurant opening in Denmark. The project involved the refurbishment of a 13,000 sq ft 19th Century former customs office building located opposite Copenhagen's new Opera House in Holmen. Custom House's restaurants include Bacino, an Italian restaurant, Custom House Bar and Grill and Ebisu, a Japanese restaurant. The development also houses a deli and private dining and banqueting space. Custom House has extensive outdoor seating offering spectacular views across the harbour.

Havana Holdings/Floridita

Havana Holdings is D&D London’s 25% shareholder in Floridita in Soho. Havana Holdings has opened further Floriditas in Dublin and Madrid, with Conran being appointed designers for the substantial international expansion of Floriditas planned in Europe and Asia. D&D London is also an investor in Havana Holdings.

Hiramatsu

Hiramatsu is a Japanese restaurant group with whom D&D London is working with on the objective of opening eight to ten restaurants in Japan over the next six to seven years. D&D London is responsible for concept development and design, while Hiramatsu manages the restaurants. The first two restaurants opened in March and April 2007.
