Le Pont de la Tour celebrates its 18th Birthday

Le Pont de la Tour launced in September 1991 and has enjoyed a colourful history ever since. Head Chef Lee Bennett joined in January 2008 and the restaurant has remained one of London's iconic and best loved establishments.

Le Pont de la Tour opened its doors as part of the Butler's Wharf Gastrodome in 1991. Launched by Sir Terence Conran, of Conran Holdings, the Gastrodome encompassed a restaurant, bar and grill, delicatessen, wine store, private dining room and bakery. The launch drew crowds of Londeners to the previoulsy unsung but spectacular riverside location beside Tower Bridge and Le Pont de la Tour quickly became one of the capital's most sought after restaurants.

This year sees the restaurant celebrate 18 years with a number of offers and events over the summer months in the lead up to Le Pont de la Tour's official birthday in September:

  • £18 birthday set lunch menu in the bar and grill
  • Oyster and mini seafood platters for £18 at the restaurant's new outdoor Crustacea Bar
  • Monthly wine tastings in the Wine Store celebrating wines from 1991 to 2009
  • Summer picnic hampers from the Food Store
