A note from our CEO, Des Gunewardena

As we navigate our way through the new government restrictions, we wanted to share with you our plans.

We strongly believe our restaurants and hotel are Covid-safe environments. Since we reopened, we have served over 600,000 customers and have had zero notifications of infections from NHS Test & Trace. And the government’s own Public Health England figures continue to indicate that only a small number of infections are taking place in restaurants. We do however, of course support all efforts to combat Covid-19 and will comply with all government guidelines, and have every measure in place to keep our customers and staff safe.

So where can you dine in Tier 2? Many of our restaurants have beautiful outdoor terraces, where you can meet friends and family from multiple households in groups of up to six. Quite a few are already weather protected, however we are investing in all our terraces so that you will be kept warm and protected from the rain whilst you enjoy dining alfresco in late Autumn and Winter! The way we see it is Tier 2 means you get to spend even more time with your friends and family. Check out our #Goldencity campaign to see everything going on across D&D.

Our restaurants are also open for business meetings – which we believe can include lunch or dinner – provided that their primary purpose is business. We are therefore continuing to accept business bookings on this basis.

Thank you for your continued support. We are very grateful to you all for keeping our restaurants busy during this difficult time. We hope you can join us in one of our restaurants soon.
