Our Unique Wine Stories: Best of British: Nyetimber Tillington 2013

D&D London are championing a selection of hand-picked wines that have unique stories; a fascinating founding , an extraordinary wine making process or a bottle design like no other. THE DISH took a closer look at this months wine: Nyetimber Tillington 2013 to find out what makes this wine so unique.

This particular bottle of Nyetimber is only made in outstanding vintages, this is a wine that showcases the best that Nyetimber has to offer; it balances the richness from Pinot Noir with the elegance of Chardonnay. It’s pale gold in colour, it’s aroma is structured with gentle, quintessentially British summer fruits.

Nyetimber said their Tillington Single Vineyard comes in limited quantities and is only produced in specific vintages. Light gold and hints of silver with minuscule bubbles – and even more beautiful to taste, its aromas encapsulate the toasted topping of crème brûlée and meringue, building into strawberry and cherry in the glass. Flavours of mandarin and pastry lead to a vanilla flavour, ensuring it is both long and balanced with an underlying power.

The wine can be found at Bluebird Chelsea, Avenue and New Street Grill and New Street Wine.
