Martyna’s wine journey started seven years ago. Whilst at University, she travelled from Poland to England on a student exchange program. During this time Martyna developed an interest in wine due to a temporary vacancy at The Grove Hotel’s Collects restaurant.
Since then Martyna went on to study the wine courses WSET and Court of Master Sommelier and is currently completing level 4 of WSET Diploma and preparing for advanced level of CMS (Court of Master Sommelier) taking place in November this year.
Martyna’s Sommelier journey began when she worked in Brighton, where she spent three years at Hotel Du Vin, where she had the opportunity to work as a Sommelier for first time. When moving to London she worked in Medlar in Chelsea which is where Martyna went on to become senior Sommelier for several years. The fantastic wine driven restaurant is where she had a chance to be surrounded by wine personalities from the industry and wine making world, before taking over the Head Sommelier role at the Michelin starred Angler, led by Executive Chef Gary Foulkes.
