Nicola Perrone

Italian-born Nicola Perrone started his career as a waiter in London’s Le Querce before starting his professional sommelier training in January 2013, receiving his diploma later that year. This training led to his first position as Commis sommelier at Gordon Ramsey’s Maze, which at the time, held a Michelin star. During his time at Maze, Nicola continued studying and was officially certified as a sommelier in January 2015 by the Court of Master Sommeliers. By the time he left Maze in 2016, he had worked his way up the ranks to take on the role of Assistant Head Sommelier, a position which he then went on to fill at both Luca in Clerkenwell, and Jason Atherton’s City Social, before joining the team at Marylebone’s Orrery, where he is currently Head Sommelier.
