Mindful City raises £21,957 for WaterAid

D&D London’s Mindful City campaign, which took place from 1st January to 13th February 2018, started off the year with a bang by raising a grand total of £21,957.29 for WaterAid over the course of the campaign.

Starting off with a sculpture installed outside the recently launched Fiume restaurant at Battersea Power Station. The sculpture, which was made from recycled Belu glass bottles, was also composed of at least 45% recycled materials, the bottles had the highest recycled content possible in clear glass in the UK. Belu donates 100% of its profits to WaterAid, helping the charity transform the lives of some of the world’s poorest communities by providing clean water, decent toilets and hygiene – an endeavour we supported by serving Belu mineral water across our sites and selecting WaterAid as charity partner for the campaign.

We also be supported the charity by offering an optional £1 on every bill to customers throughout January into early February, as well as a hosting a celebrity Comedy show at Old Bengal Bar.

As well as this, any money donated before 31 January was doubled by the UK Government.
